Privacy Policy
1. What QueryDeck is
QueryDeck is a native macOS database client. It runs entirely on your Mac. Your database credentials, queries, and data stay on your device.
2. Data we collect
QueryDeck app: We do not collect, transmit, or store your database credentials, queries, query results, or any data from your databases. Everything stays local on your Mac.
Website (querydeck.app): When you join the waitlist, we collect your email address to notify you when QueryDeck launches. We do not sell or share your email with third parties.
License validation: When you activate a license, we verify the license key against our server. We store: license key, a hashed machine identifier, and activation date. No personal data beyond your email is stored.
3. AI assistant
The AI assistant sends your database schema (table names, column names, types) to the AI provider you configure (OpenAI, Anthropic, or local Ollama). Your actual data (rows, values) is never sent. If you use a local model via Ollama, nothing leaves your machine. We do not proxy, log, or store any AI requests.
4. Cookies
The QueryDeck website does not use tracking cookies. We may use essential cookies for functionality (e.g., session management if you log in to manage your license).
5. Third-party services
We may use the following third-party services:
- → Payment processor (Stripe) for license purchases
- → Email service for waitlist and transactional emails
- → Hosting (Vercel) for the website
Each operates under their own privacy policy.
6. Your rights
You can request deletion of your data (email, license information) at any time by contacting us at privacy@querydeck.app. If you are in the EU, you have rights under GDPR including access, rectification, erasure, and data portability.
7. Children
QueryDeck is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Changes
We may update this policy. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of QueryDeck constitutes acceptance of any changes.
